ANDREI SERGEYEV, Ph.D. in Economics, CFP
Experience in the Canadian financial services industry since 2002. Since 2005 until present, works as a financial consultant at Hill & Crawford Investment Management Group. Previously held the same positions within Foresters Financial Services and Investors Group. Before arrival in Canada, from 1991 until 1999, held numerous positions in one of the largest retail commercial banks of Latvia, “Rigas Komerc Banka” (currently “DnB NordBanka”). During the last three years worked as the bank’s vice-president responsible for the investment department.

Education: Received a Bachelor of Economics degree in 1981 at the University of Latvia. Later, in 1989, became a Doctoral Candidate of Economics in Moscow, Russia. In 1993, was awarded the title of Ph.D in Economics at the University of Latvia. All of the aforementioned titles had been approved by the International Credential Assessment Services of Canada in 1999. In Canada, completed numerous professional courses at the Canadian Securities Institute (Toronto). In 2003, successfully completed an exam and received the designation of a Certified Financial Planner. Currently holds all of the necessary licenses for work in the Canadian financial services industry.

Experience in the Canadian financial services industry since 2006. From 2006 until 2007 worked as an assistant at Hill & Crawford Insurance Agency Ltd. For several months during 2007 worked as a Junior Performance Analyst at AGF Funds Inc. Passed SOA Exams P, FM, MLC and MFE, on a path to become a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Fluent in English, French and Russian.
